We tour the Arms Museum in the city of Buenos Aires

We visited the Buenos Aires Arms Museum, located downtown, right across from Plaza San Martín.

The first thing that catches your eye is the beautiful Paz Palace, where the museum is housed, more precisely in the basement of this building, which also serves as the headquarters of the Argentine Army's Military Circle. Inside, you can explore a comprehensive collection of weapons spanning from the Middle Ages to the present day.

On December 16, 1911, President Roque Sáenz Peña, by Decree No. 5022, changed its name to "Military Museum," enriching it with the collections held by the War Arsenal and ordering that it be housed in the former Centennial Railway Exhibition building.

With the help of the museum's gunsmith and organizer, we learned every detail about all the weapons on display. Spanish lancers from the Old Tercios of the 16th and 17th centuries, pennants, Toledo swords, the machine guns of the American mafia, the historical weaponry of the Argentine Armed Forces, even war artillery from the Great World Wars.
